2ND ANNUAL POKER RUN
SURVIVES DESPITE ANOTHER HURRICANE!
Sunday, October 3, 2004, was the date that the 2nd Annual Florida Lions Conklin Centers for the Blind Poker Run finally got to take off! The run was postponed thanks to Hurricane Jeanne! More than 130 hands were sold and a total of $1700 was raised by some very loyal Center supporters.
A great big thank you goes out to Cubco, Inc. for donating the cool t-shirts and to the White Eagle Lounge for feeding everyone and providing the entertainment.†
Lucky Marc, one of Boot Hillís finest bartenders, won with the best hand of three 10ís.† He really is as lucky as he says he is!
Everyone had a good time. The weather really did cooperate (a weekend too late!). We were all ready for some fun after the 3rd hurricane hit the area in 6 weeks.
