DAYTONA BEACH – She is the one wearing heels and holding a bowling bowl on Monday nights at Bellair Lanes.

Lindsey Williams, 29, of Ormond Beach, was recently recognized as the Florida Lions Conklin Center for the Blind’s Volunteer of the Year for her assistance with making the Grad Club’s Monday Night Bowling possible.

“I come here right after work,” Williams said still dressed in work attire to make the 5:45 p.m. bowl time to help the bowlers get in position and keep score.

According to Williams, she said that after having several experiences where she was able to assist vision impaired individuals, that she contacted the Conklin Center to find out how she could volunteer.
